WYANDOTTE, Mich. (Jan. 13)—BASF Corp.'s Urethane Chemicals business unit has picked up two key regional distributors in the U.S.—Archway Sales Inc. of St. Louis, Mo., and GMZ Inc. of West Chester, Ohio—to handle its Lupranate isocyanates and Pluracol polyols.
The additions should strengthen BASF's ability to meet U.S. customers' lead times and delivery requirements, the company said. Both Archway and GMZ are strong in both urethane technology and specialty chemicals, said a BASF official.
GMZ will have distribution responsibilities for customers in eight states while Archway's territory covers 21 states. Both distributors have specific roles and territories in nine other states. BASF expects to appoint a regional distributor for the western states by the end of February. Lupranate isocyanates and Pluracol polyols are used in coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomer applications.
