AURORA, Ohio—John Crowe, president of Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corp.´s Fluid Systems Division, also has been named president of the firm´s Bearing and Seal Technology Division.
He succeeds Ged Walsh, who is retiring as head of the Bearing and Seal Technology unit.
Crowe joined Norton Co., which Saint-Gobain acquired in 1990, as a process engineer in 1978. He has held a variety of positions since then, ranging from engineering to financial management, business development and general management. He took over as president of the Fluid Systems Division in October 2002.
He also is in charge of building the firm´s business in Asia, and is a member of the management committee of Saint-Gobain Corp., the holding company for the firm´s businesses in the U.S. and Canada.
