CLEVELAND (Jan. 7)—Eaton Corp. and Changzhou Senstar Automobile Air Conditioner Co. Ltd. will team up to form a joint venture in Shanghai, China, to produce hose and tube assemblies for Volkswagen A.G.
The venture will be called Eaton Senstar Automotive Fluid Connector (Shanghai) Co. and is expected to be established in late January or early February following regulatory approval, according to an Eaton spokesman.
Eaton will own 55 percent of the company, he said, adding that the venture will produce its hoses and tubes at Eaton's truck transmission and hydraulics facility in Shanghai. Eaton Senstar will make air-conditioning hose and tube assemblies along with power steering hose and tubing. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
