WILTON, Conn. (Jan. 6)—GE Silicones-OSi Specialties will build a liquid silicone elastomers formulating plant in Garrett, Ind., in the coming months to support expanding business from its customers in the health care, consumer goods and automotive industries.
The company—a business unit of General Electric Co.—said it would build the facility, which will incorporate formulating, mixing, compounding and blending capabilities, adjacent to its existing custom elastomers division, American Silicones Inc.
