LYNNHAVEN, Mass. (Jan. 6)—Tire recycling firm GreenMan Technologies Inc. lost nearly $2.9 million on sales of $29.7 million in the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, according to a company press release. GreenMan officials blamed the loss on several factors—including a March 2003 fire at its Jackson, Ga., facility and reconfiguration of its Wisconsin operations—that cost the firm more than $3.2 million during the fiscal year. In the previous fiscal year, GreenMan earned slightly more than $1 million on sales of $27.5 million.
