PASADENA, Calif. (Nov. 19)—Plaintiffs' attorney Joseph L. Lisoni has filed for a continuation in the complaint lodged against him by Bridgestone/Firestone before the California State Bar. Lisoni said he and his wife and law partner, Gail Lisoni, want to present full documentation of their actions to the Bar. Steven Weinberger, who is working with the Lisonis on the Firestone Steeltex class action, filed a response to the complaint by the Nov. 18 deadline, but a copy of Weinberger's response was unavailable at press time. Weinberger and the Lisonis seek a court-ordered recall of 30 million Steeltex light truck tires. In its complaint to the Bar, BFS accused the attorneys of repeatedly misrepresenting both the actions of the tire maker and the number of complaints they had against Steeltex tires. "Our attorneys in California believe that when they see unethical conduct, they have a duty to report it to the Bar Association," a BFS spokesman said. He noted Joseph Lisoni made the complaint public. "We weren't going to make this public, because we believe he has a right to due process," he said.
