HOUSTON (Nov. 19)—The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers has named Albert Moore, retired from DuPont Dow Elastomers L.L.C., and professor Eckhard Loser, formerly of Bayer A.G., as winners of the association´s two highest honors. Moore was tapped for the IISRP Technical Award, and is being honored for his technical contributions in the research, development and industrialization of specialty EPDM and fluoroelastomers. Loser is being honored with the General Award for his contribution to developing and managing IISRP´s Scientific Research Program on 1,3 butadiene. He chaired the Institute´s Butadiene Steering Committee and forged a product stewardship initiative that continues today, almost 25 years later. The men will receive their awards at the IISRP´s 45th Annual General Meeting in Warsaw, Poland, next May.
