BEIJIN (Nov. 17)—Groupe Michelin expects to spend more than $100 million in China's fast-growing auto market, a top company executive said. "There is no doubt in the next five to 10 years, we will invest heavily," said Jean-Marc Francois, Michelin's Asia-Pacific president. He said the money will be invested in Michelin's joint ventures in Shanghai and Shenyang, in building factories in China and in advertising the Michelin brand.
