TROY, Mich. (Nov. 17)—The Original Equipment Suppliers Association has named William J. Carroll, acting president and chief operating officer of Dana Corp., as its chairman for the 2003/2004 term. Carroll has served on OESA´s board of directors since November of 2000. The trade group´s board also elected two vice chairmen: Joseph B. Anderson Jr., chairman and CEO of TAG Holdings L.L.C., and William L. Kozyra, North American president of Continental A.G.'s Continental Teves brake division. Outgoing OESA Chairman Larry A. Denton, who is president and CEO of Dura Automotive Systems Inc., in a written release urged the new team to consider organizing a summit composed of all North American car makers and suppliers to try to close the gap between the model proposal of contract terms and conditions developed by the supply community and those used by the original equipment manufacturers.
