WILMINGTON, Del. (Nov. 13)—Antitrust investigations and civil lawsuits pending against DuPont Dow Elastomers L.L.C. likely will result in operating losses for the specialty elastomer producer, according to DuPont Co., a 50-percent shareholder, in its third-quarter 10-Q filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. However, DuPont said it could not "reasonably estimate" a range of such losses. Authorities in the U.S, Europe and Canada are investigating makers of EPDM synthetic rubber for possible pricing collusion. DuPont Dow is among those that have been subpoenaed in connection with these investigations. The antitrust investigation spawned civil litigation against DuPont Dow and other manufacturers.
