PLYMOUTH, Mich. (Nov. 13)—Freudenberg-NOK G.P.'s Simrit industrial sealing division has opened a new O-ring manufacturing facility in Mexico to serve the North American market. The new 54,000-sq.-ft. facility, located in Queretaro, produces O-rings and custom molded shapes for several industrial applications. The products will come in a variety of sizes and materials, including nitrile, HNBR, EPDM and Viton. The Simrit facility, which opened Nov. 1, will have 80 pieces of equipment for current capacity and future growth. These include injection, transfer and compression molding presses with automated vision inspection systems. Much of the equipment is new, the company said. The new plant employs about 150 people.
