AKRON (Nov. 4)—Goodyear has named 30-year company veteran Chris W. Clark to senior vice president of global sourcing, a new position that includes responsibility for activities ranging from procurement to manufacturing to global sourcing. Clark, 52, heads a new organization that links all of Goodyear's global manufacturing and supply chain activities directly to improved customer service and business results, according to Chairman and CEO Robert J. Keegan. Clark's leadership will be instrumental in effecting change in manufacturing, global sourcing, process technology, quality performance and purchasing—all key elements of Goodyear's turnaround efforts, Keegan said. Clark's appointment coincides with the retirement of John G. Loulan, 57, previously senior vice president of global product supply, after 35 years of service. Clark most recently was president of Goodyear's Latin America region, where he is credited with turning around the business unit.
