AKRON—Goodyear has promoted four executives to vice president positions and appointed a fifth to a marketing job in its North American Tire unit.
The company promoted Richard J. Kramer to senior vice president of strategic planning and restructuring; Thomas A. Connell to vice president and controller; Stephen McClellan to vice president of the commercial business; and Michael M. Rajkovic to vice president of finance.
Chris Grindem also was named to director of marketing services.
Kramer has been in charge of the finance activities of the North American tire unit for the past year, after joining Goodyear in 2000 as vice president of corporate finance. Before that he spent 13 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P.
Connell previously was vice president and corporate controller for TRW Inc. He worked there since 1979.
McClellan most recently was president and chief operating officer of Wingfoot Commercial Systems. He has been with Goodyear since 1988.
Rajkovic comes to Goodyear from Visteon Corp., where he was director of exterior products manufacturing and direct ship operations. He had been with Visteon since 2000, when it was spun off from Ford Motor Co., and before that worked for Ford.
Grindem has worked for a variety of advertising agencies, including Leo Burnett and Doner, and was executive director of the J. Walter Thompson retail group.
