Gusmer Corp.´s HV-20/35 Hydraulic Vertical Driven High Pressure Proportioner applies polyurethane foam and polyurea coatings at high pressure, resulting in a more thorough mixing of plural components for more durable finished products. A hybrid of the firm´s High Mass and Direct Contact designs, the new unit is built without O-rings and is available with 6,000 or 9,000 watt heaters. The HV-20/35 equalizes pressure with a new ball-valve design and pressure-compensator valve to fine-tune hydraulic motor pressures during filling, the firm said. At 22 inches wide by 35 inches deep, the 46-inch tall metering unit is mounted on removable casters, making it adaptable for portable on-site construction applications, rig-mounting or in-plant use, Gusmer said.
