WASHINGTON (Sept. 17)—Apothecary Products Inc. of Burnsville, Minn., is recalling 154,000 silicone and latex "Comforts" pacifiers sold primarily through Kroger Co. grocery stores because they can come apart, creating a choking hazard. The pacifiers being recalled were made in China and have the words "Pacifiers," "Latex," "Silicone," "0-6 months" or "6-18 months" on the packaging. They were sold from August 2002 through August 2003, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, which along with Apothecary Products is issuing the recall notice. The last five digits of the model numbers of the recalled products are 35826; 35827; 35828; and 35829.
