SAVAGE, Minn. (Sept. 12)—Tire recycling firm GreenMan Technologies Inc. has completed a $1 million upgrade of the equipment at its Minnesota tire processing facility. The expansion of its tire shredding operations in Savage was completed two months after the installation of a waste tire wire processing line, GreenMan's third. The new shredding capacity will meet increased demand for small tire-derived-fuel products, the company said, while the waste wire operations will not only increase revenue for GreenMan but also slash the company's annual disposal expenses by $160,000 annually.
