PITTSBURGH (Sept. 3)—Workers at Goodyear's Sun Prairie, Wis., hose products plant approved the tentative master contract agreement Sept. 2, the United Steelworkers announced today. About 77 percent of the voting members of USWA Local 904 OK'd the deal, the union said, making the local the first of 14 to approve it. Voting dates are set at each of the other 13 locations: Akron, Sept. 7; Gadsden, Ala., Sept. 9-11; Buffalo, N.Y, Sept. 5; St. Mary's, Ohio, Sept. 7; Lincoln, Neb., Sept. 7; Topeka, Kan., Sept. 8-9; Freeport, Ill., Sept. 9; Tyler, Texas, Sept. 3-4; Danville, Va., Sept. 12; Marysville, Ohio, Sept. 7; Union City, Tenn., Sept. 8; Huntsville, Ala., Sept. 6; and Fayetteville, N.C., Sept. 4. A majority of plants representing a majority of workers must approve the agreement for it to be ratified.
