LONDON (July 14)—Elementis P.L.C. is benefiting from a strong sales increase by its Linatex Specialty Rubber division. The unit will contribute to an expected 10-percent rise in sales in the first half of 2003, Elementis said. Linatex's rebound follows a $3.1 million operating loss last year because of low demand for its abrasion-resistant rubber linings and other materials handling products. The firm principally supplies the mining and materials-handling industries.
