WASHINGTON (July 11)—The Rubber Manufacturers Association´s General Products Group has received a $4,000 grant from the National Association of Manufacturers for sponsorship of an industry career fair at Ferris State University´s National Elastomer Center. NAM's Center for Workforce Success division award will help fund the inaugural Ferris State Rubber & Plastics Career Fair, Oct. 17, at the center in Big Rapids, Mich. The event will showcase the school´s rubber and plastics engineering degree programs, as well as industry career opportunities, to an audience of 150 area high school students. Besides speakers and a tour of the center, the students will meet engineering undergraduates and industry representatives in a trade-show type setting.
