EAST TROY, Wis. (July 9)—Flexfab Molded Products L.L.C. is expanding its liquid injection molding capacity to allow it to make a stronger push into the automotive product market. During the last two years the company steadily boosted LIM capacity by adding several machines, acquiring tooling and upgrading some existing LIM machines. It most recently acquired 150-ton and 110-ton presses, which give it 10 that are dedicated to liquid silicone molding. It also built a 4,000-sq.-ft. room at its East Troy plant to house the LIM and other rubber molding presses. The machine room can be expanded two-fold if the need arises, said Satish Sharma, general manager of the 35,000-sq.-ft. East Troy facility.
