ST. PAUL, Minn. (June 27)—H.B. Fuller Co.'s net income for its second quarter rose 23.1 percent to $9.77 million as sales increased 1.6 percent to $324.5 million. The company said that despite the competitive business environment, it saw strong increases in key growth markets such as Latin America and the Asia/Pacific region. Net revenue for Fuller´s global adhesives unit rose 3.2 percent, helped mainly by 5.9-percent positive impact from currency valuations. For the six-month period, net earnings jumped 51.3 percent to $13 million and sales grew 1 percent to $619.1 million.
