SACRAMENTO, Calif. (June 9)—The Rubber Manufacturers Association is helping the California Integrated Waste Management Board develop an updated tire fire prevention and suppression training curriculum for state safety officials. RMA and tire industry officials attended a meeting in Sacramento June 4 to educate state officials about methods of preventing and fighting scrap tire fires. Industry experts will help the CIMWB examine, review and revise the current "Ring of Fire" curriculum developed by the RMA and others over 10 years ago.
