AKRON (June 6)—Goodyear´s Joseph M. Gingo has become executive vice president of quality systems and chief technical officer for the company. The 58-year-old executive has been senior vice president for technology and global products planning since 1999, and has been with the company since 1966. Besides continuing to head Goodyear Research, Tire Technology and Global Products Planning groups, Gingo will lead Six Sigma, Product Innovation & Development and Quality Leadership for the tire maker. He also remains in charge of the firm´s global race tire program.
