Magnifoam to complete purchase
Magnifoam Technology International Inc. expected by the end of April to complete its acquisition of the remaining 29-percent interest in Leewood Elastomer GmbH, a German silicone products manufacturer.
A producer of silicone seating foam for railcars, Magnifoam is spending nearly $1.5 million for the interest. The company has significant business in the North American market, and is hoping to tap the expanding transit-refurbishing market in Europe through the acquisition.
RPM unit buys Koch
RPM International Inc.'s Tremco Inc. subsidiary has acquired Koch Waterproofing Solutions Inc., a provider of waterproofing systems to the residential new construction market.
With $30 million in sales and headquarters in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Koch will operate as a stand-alone business within the Sealant/Weatherproofing Division of RPM's Tremco Group. The terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
Eliokem signs up Harwick Standard
Harwick Standard Distribution Corp. will distribute Eliokem Inc.'s Wingstay non-staining antioxidants and Pliolite S6 reinforcing resin product lines.
The agreement, effective June 1, will help Eliokem improve its service to the rubber industry, building and strengthening the firm's presence in the U.S. market, said Olivier Faussadier, Eliokem general manager for U.S. operations.
SAE committee seeks papers
The Committee on Automotive Rubber Specifications is seeking papers for a technical session it is sponsoring at the Society of Automotive Engineers 2004 World Congress in Detroit.

Pelletron moves offices, facilities
Pelletron Corp. has moved its corporate offices and lab test facilities to two separate sites in Lancaster, Pa.
The firm's administrative headquarters is located at 3004 Hempland Road, Lancaster 17601, while its dedusting lab and test facilities are at 310 Running Pump Road. Pelletron's telephone and fax numbers and e-mail address are unchanged.
