PERRY, Ohio (April 29)—Rubber extruder Kismet Products Inc. plans to close its Perry headquarters and manufacturing site and consolidate its operations into a new plant in Blue Ridge, Ga., the company announced April 29. The Perry facility will close July 1, affecting 34 employees there. Some personnel will be relocated to Blue Ridge, located about 90 miles north of Atlanta. The new site—spanning 87,000 square feet—will employ 125-150 people, Kismet said. Kismet has manufactured, marketed and sold rubber extruded products in Northeast Ohio since its founding in 1949.
