FINDLAY, Ohio (April 24)—Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has realigned its tire group management from a regional to a global reporting structure and eliminated a layer of management. Previously, the tire group had operated under three separate business units: North American Tire, International and Commercial Products. Mark Armstrong, formerly president of the North American Tire Division, was named executive vice president of commercial operations to oversee global tire, retread and material sales, marketing, advertising and the new Mickey Thompson subsidiary. Larry Beard, formerly president of the North American Fluid System Division at Cooper-Standard Automotive, now is executive vice president of industrial operations. Ed Reading was promoted from international sales director to vice president of retread products and international sales, while Bill Woeste, previously plant manager of a Cooper-Standard sealing factory, has been named vice president of manufacturing.
