DICKSON, Tenn. (April 23)—Bridgestone APM Co. has committed to build a 150,000-sq.-ft. plant in Tennessee to produce foam products for its Japanese transplant auto maker customers. Although negotiations over site location took place right up to the groundbreaking, the company broke ground April 8 in Dickson. Bridgestone will invest $11 million in the operation which should be complete by March 2004 and employ 170 people by 2006, the company said in a release.
