A number of BASF Corp.´s Elastollan-brand thermoplastic polyurethanes meet the new containment standard from the National Sanitation Foundation for plastic materials used in handling potable water. The equipment and packaging used in such applications must be clean, sanitary and made of chemically stable materials that do not release potentially harmful levels of contaminants into the water. The company said 14 Elastollan TPU products are certified under the standard and more are being tested. For more information, visit www.basf.com/usa.
