SCOTTDALE, Ga. (April 11)—Georgia Duck Conveyor Belting and Scandura Conveyor Belting will increase belting prices May 1. The Fenner Dunlop Conveyor Belting units said rising raw material costs prompted the price hikes. The increases will vary by product, Georgia Duck said, with an average of 4.7 percent for heavy rubber products and 3.5 to 4.5 percent for polyvinyl chloride and lightweight rubber items. Charlotte, N.C.-based Scandura said prices will rise 4.9 to 5.5 percent for heavy rubber belting and 3.5 to 4.5 percent for PVC and lightweight rubber goods.
