CARMEL, Ind. (March 26)—Firestone Building Products Co. is enhancing the manufacturing capabilities for its roofing products via two expansions at its U.S. plants. The Carmel-based firm's total investment—including new plants and expansions to improve its polyisocyanurate insulation production and offerings—is more than $30 million, Firestone announced March 24. The projects solidify the company's commitment to manufacture and market a "comprehensive selection of roofing systems from the deck up," said company President David Grass. The projects include expanding the company's thermoplastic polyolefin roofing and warehouse facility in Wellford, S.C., by 58,750 square feet and adding a third TPO line there, and increasing seaming tape capacity at its Prescott, Ark., EPDM manufacturing plant.
