MURRAY HILL, N.J.—Timothy M. Ring will succeed William H. Longfield as chairman and CEO of medical products maker C.R. Bard Inc. when Longfield retires Aug. 7.
John H. Weiland will become president and chief operating officer.
Ring joined C.R. Bard in 1992 as vice president of human resources and held various executive positions, most recently serving as group president overseeing the firm´s global Vascular and Specialty Access businesses.
Weiland, group president in charge of the firm´s global Surgical, Urological and Endoscopic Technology businesses, joined Bard in 1996 from Dentsply International Inc.
