DECATUR, Ill. (March 5)—The former Bridgestone/Firestone tire plant and property in Decatur has been sold to a New Jersey realtor. The deal, negotiated by Binswanger/CBB, includes the 2.2 million-sq.-ft. building sitting on 153 acres. The buyer, Queen Anne Realty, plans to seek tenants for the facility. The sales price of the building and property was not disclosed. BFS stopped producing tires in Decatur in December 2001.
