NEWMARKET, Ontario (Feb. 28)—Acton International Inc., a subsidiary of AirBoss of America Corp., has been awarded a six-year, $12.7 million contract to manufacture and supply nuclear, biological and chemical protective footwear to the U.S. military. The contract calls for Acton division AirBoss-Defense to begin making molds using strict perimeters and supply product samples to the military. Once those are approved, the division will go into full production, probably by the end of 2003, according to the company.
