RICHMOND, British Columbia (Feb. 10)—SmarTire Systems Inc. has signed a deal with a South Korean automotive electronics company to develop and market tire monitoring technology in that nation. The agreement calls for Hyundai Autonet Co. Inc. to co-develop, make and distribute the products to South Korean original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket. Hyundai Autonet initially will contribute $300,000 for engineering changes to modify the SmarTire systems for the domestic market, and to develop technology to meet the needs of vehicles in the country.
