MIDLAND, Mich. (Jan. 31)—Dow Chemical Co.'s emulsion polymers business is increasing the prices of styrene butadiene latex, styrene acrylate latex and solid plastic pigment products sold into the paper industry by 4 cents per pound in the U.S. and Canada, the company announced Jan. 31. All latex products sold into the carpet industry will be increased by 4 cents per pound as well. The announced price bumps are driven by increased raw material costs, Dow said.
