WASHINGTON (Jan. 29)—Total U.S. tire shipments dipped less than one percent in November from a year earlier to 27.2 million units, according to data gathered by the Rubber Manufacturers Association. Canadian tire shipments increased 6.1 percent for the month, growing to 3.3 million units, the Rubber Association of Canada reported. U.S. passenger tire shipments slipped 1.6 percent to 21.9 million units, while Canadian passenger tire shipments increased 5.7 percent to 2.81 million units for the month.
