AJAX, Ontario (Jan. 20)—Environmental Waste International Inc. has sold its first Reverse Polymerization Tire Processing Plant to a private company in the United Kingdom that plans to build the facility and install all equipment within the next 18 months. The buyer has asked that all further information about the factory be kept confidential until it nears completion, said EWI Vice President Doug Norton. EWI's patented system uses microwave energy to break down tires into carbon black, oil, steel and hydrocarbon gases, according to company publicity.
