BELLEVUE, Wash. (Jan. 10)—Esterline Technologies Corp. has acquired the assets of BVR Aero Precision Corp., a manufacturer of precision gear assemblies and electronic data concentrators, for about $10 million in cash. Included in the purchase is BVR's 25,000-sq.-ft. production facility in Rockford, Ill., where BVR and its 54 employees will continue to be based. No significant changes in personnel or operations are expected, according to Esterline CEO Robert W. Cremin. The acquisition "adds a small but highly regarded company to Esterline's Systems & Sensors platform—one with solid capabilities, products, customer relationships and people, plus a great technological fit with at least five other current Esterline operations," he said. BVR will operate as a division of Esterline's France-based Auxitrol S.A., a European producer of specialized aerospace sensors and systems.
