INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 4)—Great Lakes Chemical Corp. has purchased Flexsys America L.P.'s non-staining phenolic antioxidants business and process technology for an undisclosed sum. Indianapolis-based Great Lakes said it will expand factories in Catenoy, France, and Waldkraiburg, Germany, to handle increased demand caused by the acquisition of the Santonox TBMC, Santovar TAHQ and Santowhite BBMC lines. The company said it will market the products under its line of Lowinox non-staining antioxidants, which are used to protect against oxygen degradation and discoloration during processing.
