DEARBORN, Mich. (Nov. 26)—GDX Automotive, the vehicle sealing unit of GenCorp. Inc., is transferring its polyurethane bonding technology for weatherstrips and related hardware to the North American market. In the GDX bonding process, the seal is locked mechanically to the glass with only the polyurethane bonding directly to the glass. North American auto makers, taking their cues from European car companies, are showing interest in the "invisible sealing" the process enables, a GDX Automotive spokesman said.
