LOS ANGELES (Nov. 21)—Northrop Grumman Corp. has signed an agreement to sell the automotive business of TRW Inc. to investment firm, the Blackstone Group, for $4.73 billion. Northrop, a defense contractor, earmarked TRW Automotive for divestiture when it entered an agreement to acquire the parent company in July. The new deal depends on Northrop's successful completion of the TRW purchase pending regulatory and shareholder approval. TRW Automotive annually sells $10 billion worth of automotive components, which include air bags in its Occupant Safety Systems division.
