NORTH MIAMI, Okla. (Nov. 20)—Midwest Custom Mixing Inc. has acquired a new tilt mixer as the cornerstone of a plan to expand capacity and double sales. Midwest—a custom mixer with more than 1,500 compounds available in-house—added the mixer to increase its efficiency and meet demand for product. The new 110-liter tilt rubber mixer, complete with touch screen control, was purchased from Kneader Machinery USA Ltd.—the Stow, Ohio-based U.S. sales arm of Taiwanese equipment maker Kneader Machinery Co. Ltd. The Kneader mixer will be the company's primary piece of equipment, replacing its 100-liter Kobe mixer. But North Miami-based Midwest plans to rebuild the older machine and use it in a second mixing line, Morgan said. Once the second mixing line is up and running, the firm will be looking to double its current revenues.
