BOSTON (Nov. 19)—A Boston jury found that Michelin North America Inc. wasn't liable for a 1994 accident that rendered Richard Lane paraplegic. Lane and his attorneys charged that the rollover crash of Lane's van was caused by a defective Uniroyal Laredo tire. "The facts proved that the quality of the tire was not the cause of this unfortunate accident," a Michelin spokeswoman said in a prepared statement.
