NEWMARKET, Canada (Nov. 14)—Net profits declined in the third quarter, but demand for AirBoss of America Corp.'s products rose in the early stages of the fourth quarter, despite a flat economy, according to the company. Earnings slipped to $666,900 from $824,200 in the third quarter of last year, the company reported. Sales rose 5.4 percent in the period to $31.2 million. Virtually all AirBoss products lines have experienced improved sales, and the trend is expected to continue into 2003, a company official said. During the first nine months of 2002, net income was flat at $1.9 million compared with last year, while sales rose 4.7 percent to $89 million.
