NITRO, W.Va. (Nov. 13)—Union workers at Flexsys America L.P.'s Nitro rubber chemicals plant have a new contract with the company after ratifying a six-year deal Nov. 4. Over its life, the six-year agreement will provide wage increases totaling 18 percent—with hikes of 2.5 percent in each of the first two years rising to 4 percent in year six. The pact, which affects 133 members of United Steelworkers Local 12610, also includes enhancements to the provided retirement medical premium reimbursement program and includes overtime wages in 401(k)-eligible earnings, Flexsys said.
