BANGKOK, Thailand (Nov. 4)—Pirelli Tyre (Europe) S.A. may build a mini-factory in Thailand using its Modular Integrated Robotized System, according to a report from the "Bangkok Post." Pirelli's MIRS technology—already in use in Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom and the U.S.—will allow the company to manufacture 125,000 tires annually at each plant site while taking up only about 3,500 square feet of space, the report said. Officials at Pirelli's U.S. headquarters in Rome, Ga., couldn't be reached for comment.
