WASHINGTON (Oct. 29)—The Rubber Manufacturers Association is one of 21 business associations to sign a letter to President Bush and congressional leadership opposing a bill placing new mental health care mandates on employers. "With health care costs increasing annually at a double-digit rateàthe last thing Congress and the administration should consider is any legislation that will make health care even more expensive," the letter said.
