CLERMONT-FERRAND, France (Oct. 25)—Groupe Michelin said it expects to restart tire production at the d'Hussein Dey plant in Algiers in the near future. The factory will employ 500 in the manufacture truck tires for the domestic market and elsewhere in the region, the company said. Michelin closed the factory nine years ago amid political turmoil in the former French colony.
