WASHINGTON (Oct. 7)—Continental Tire North America Inc. has recalled 3,505 Continental bus tires, size 315/80R22.5 HSR 12, manufactured between August 2001 and June 2002. Some of these tires—when used on inter-city buses under high speeds, high loads and high ambient temperatures—can suffer separation of tread rib rubber from the tire carcass, Conti said.
