LINWOOD, Pa. (Oct. 7)—Foamex International Inc. has terminated discussions with Leggett & Platt for the sale of Foamex's GFI carpet cushion business. The Linwood-based company said the two firms could not come to an agreement on definitive terms for the transaction. Marshall Cogan, Foamex chairman and founder, said the company is committed to improving the profitability of its carpet cushion business and providing customers with high levels of service.
